As is now tradition, the grand finale of Szczecin European Film Festival '16 will take place in one of the most beautiful buildings in Europe – the Szczecin Philharmonic Hall, which won the Mies van der Rohe Award in 2015. The ceremony will be hosted by renowned Szczecin journalist and literary critic Konrad Wojtyła. The program includes: the Jury’s announcement of the outcome of the competition, the giving of the awards, and a presentation of the awarded films. The official closing of the festival will be announced by the Polish-German directors of the festival, Claudia Dietrich (DE) and Bartosz Wójcik (PL).

Konrad Wojtyła
Born in 1979. Poet, journalist, literary critic, master of ceremonies (on occasion). Host of literary meetings, initiator and moderator of many discussions, panels, and debates attended by the most important representatives of cultural life in Poland. Vice-president of the Sławomir Mrożek Foundation. Journalist for Radio Szczein. Has been published in many magazines in Poland and abroad, his works have been translated to several languages. In 2015 awarded the West Pomerania “Journalist of the Year” title. He has published several books. In 2005-2009 vice-editor-in-chief of [fo:pa], a quarterly literary-philosophical magazine, and in 2012-2014 first editor-in-chief of the “eleWator” magazine. Jury member for the National Literary Award for Female Authors “Gryfia.”
